I'm a multifaceted longform reporter.
Hi y'all!
I am a well-rounded journalist earning my master's degree at American University's journalism and public affairs program in Washington, D.C. At AU, I have covered D.C.'s homeless community, redistricting in my home state of Arkansas, and the detention of Honduran activists.
While earning my bachelor's degree at Rhodes College, I became news editor and editor in chief of our campus newspaper, The Sou'wester. I helped the college establish a free speech policy while I was editor. I also co-hosted Citrus Radio, a music show that featured garage rock and punk music.
In the spring of 2022, I interned at Agence France-Presse on their multimedia and fact-checking desks. I created content debunking misinformation on their Facebook page and worked across bureaus to help cover the Oscars and the Grammys on Twitter.
In the summer of 2020, I worked at the Arkansas Health Care Association, where my responsibilities included writing and editing communications and translating documents into Spanish.
